Elisabet Maria Pálsdóttir

Elisabet Maria Pálsdóttir is a Faroese visual artist whose work explores the quiet depths of nature, memory, and emotion. Raised in Syðrugøta and inspired early on by her father, Elisabet found in art a way to listen to the inner world and translate it into light and movement.

Working primarily with acrylic and watercolor, her paintings are infused with flowing forms and deep blue tones, reflecting themes such as ocean, light, and hope.
Her 2024 exhibition Andarhald at Myndlist in Tórshavn offered a meditative encounter with the ocean’s emotional resonance and the spiritual currents of the Faroese landscape.
Based between the Faroe Islands and Denmark, Elisabet continues to create evocative works that speak to both the personal and the elemental—anchored in the timeless pull of ocean.
