Elisabet Maria Pálsdóttir
Elisabet Maria Pálsdóttir is a Faroese visual artist, mainly working with watercolor and acrylic mediums. At an early age, she was inspired by her father, who also liked to paint, to explore the creative world. She discovered that painting brought her an inner peace, and she was able to translate the songs of her heart onto paper.
Her 2024 exhibition, Andarhald at Williamsstova in Tórshavn, showcased paintings infused with flowing waves and deep blue tones, reflecting her inner world. The exhibition was also deeply inspired by the ocean that is surrounding the Faroe Islands. The paintings were an interpretation of the encounter with the emotional vastness of the sea. The tranquility that is also found both right before and after a storm.
Elisabet is currently based in Denmark and continues to create artwork and recently also started dabbling in the digital world of drawing.
